《座》“SEAT”

A series of digital photos taken at The Walter E. Fernald Developmental Center, located near Boston, Massachusetts. It was once the oldest public institution for individuals with intellectual disabilities in the United States. Originally established in 1848, it became infamous for its unethical human experiments and horrific treatment of children. Thousands of children suffered here, many were subjected to cruel and inhumane conditions, including forced participation in medical experiments. The true extent of the suffering remained largely unknown for years, concealed by the institution's outward appearance as a place of care.

The remains of these children are hauntingly symbolized by the various seats they once occupied: toilets, wheelchairs, and even electric chairs. These objects stand as stark reminders of the cruel reality faced by the young residents, their lives marked by neglect, exploitation, and forgotten suffering.

《大学》“COLLEGE”

This is a collection of film photography about the things around Emerson College, where I went to school. This could be a unique argument: I believe Emerson College truly represents a blend of East and West, even though it doesn't have many international students. Two blocks to the west, you have the famous Newbury Street, a commercial hub, and the historic Beacon Hill, symbolizing old Western wealth. Just a block to the east, you find yourself in Chinatown, one of the most vibrant and culturally diverse areas in the city. To the north lies Boston's bustling Financial District. Here, don’t be surprised when you see a lawyer carrying coffee as they walk into those underground Chinese restaurants.

《地图》“MAP”

Boston, Vancouver, to Beijing. I started this project right before graduating from college. Living in the U.S. for 4 years I realized that I really haven’t seen much. A week of driving from Boston(the place where I evolved as an artist) to Vancouver(the place where I was raised), then a 24-hour flight to Beijing(the place where I was born). This summer, my stories will be everywhere….
